Why We Built This Site
North Carolina gives the public broad access to many public records, but the route depends on the record. The Macon County Clerk of Superior Court keeps Superior Court, District Court, estate, civil, criminal, domestic, traffic, and special proceeding files. The Sheriff handles detention, many arrest records, warrants, and law-enforcement records. The Register of Deeds handles marriage licenses, certified marriage records, land records, and recorded instruments. eCourts, court-date search, and state agency tools add more access points.

- We cannot issue certified copies of any court document or vital record
- We cannot give legal advice or explain how a specific case applies to you
- We cannot guarantee that every phone number, fee, or address listed on this site is current right now
Only the issuing court or government office can provide a certified copy with an official seal. We can point you to the right office, but the document has to come from them.
